Meet Wendi
I began farming lavender just over seven years ago and I had no idea how it would win over my heart. I dwell over it like it is my first crush…shhh we won't tell my husband! I weed, prune and fall in love all over again when I begin the years' harvest.

In the past 9 years, Wendi's Sunset Lavender has transformed from a humble piece of land, to a fruitful place of growth for both our lavender and all who visit it! Let's see how it all began...

Have vacant land…Let us take you on our lavender journey.
We had a few acres to utilize. The challenge was finding what would grow best with our sandy soil. We had many conversations and after we did a soil test Lavender was the best match. So it began……this year is the tenth year of our planting.
2018
We ordered our plants from a farm in Washington. They delivered them and we talked with the driver who happened to also be a College horticulture professor. Through conversation we realized we needed more space for the plantings. So I prepared more land and it took us from May (laying down the weed barrier) till about the middle of July to plant all 3600 plants. Whew….it was a lot!
